Bobby Joe Harlow has been a renowned professional musician for over 50 years. He currently teaches private music lessons in his studio in San Antonio, Texas. His teaching instruments include acoustic guitar, electric guitar, piano, bass guitar, drums, mandolin, ukulele, harmonica and vocals.
Beginnings…Bobby Joe started playing the violin and drums at seven years old. Piano lessons came next and his passion for music started a flame that warms the world to this day. At 15, Bobby Joe was gifted a guitar by his late father and his musical world exploded. He started playing professionally in Texas and around the world in 1977. His bands resume includes stints with Feedback, Bad Boys, Doc Scully, Waifs of Destruction, Leisure Zombies, The Rick Martin Tribe, Kopia, Scratch, Joe Blow, The Bobby Joe Harlow Band and most notably, The Les Moore Band.
He currently serves as the frontman, lead guitar player, singer, piano player and harmonica playing in Bobby Joe Harlow and Rocksolid.
While Texas may be his current performance focus, his love of music directed him to teach private music lessons for the past 40+ years.
He currently maintains a roster of about 50 students that most play several instruments.
Bobby Joe is married to the love of his life, Laura Jean, whom he met when they were young teenagers. Laura Jean also sings in all his band gigs. He has 6 adult children and they all have his musical genetics.
